(Philadelphia) Up at 8.20. Out to Union rooms at 10. Called on Wurts. Finished draft of article on Lesson Papers for World. Looked up items on uniform lessons in old periodicals of the Society. Talked with Rice & Kirkpatrick about World; with Wurts about Peters. Dined at Continental. Kingsbury with us. Again at Union rooms. Off at 5.30 for New York. Rainy day, severe storm in evening. Train delayed by it. Rice with us on cars. Wrote on S.S. World articles. At Astor House, soaked through, at 10pm. Shute & Rice went at once to bed. Took supper. Read paper. Retired at 12.
