(Philadelphia) Up at 7.45. Out to Dr. Newton's S.S. with Johnny & Mr. Kingsbury. Thence to 12th Quaker Meeting. Dined at hotel. In afternoon heard Dr. Newton open his children's service. Thence to 12th St. Quaker school. Attended a two hour session there. Had pleasant talk with Mr. Bayley. Went to tea with Mr. Kingsbury. Met Mr. Kellogg there. Wrote Fred in evening. Retired at 10.
