(Fairfield, Ct.) Up at 7.15. Warm, damp morning. Prayers with family. Wrote up diary. Called at Mrs. Sherman’s to see Bern. Sent letter to Fred Camp to Bridgeport by him. Called at Dr. Rankin’s. Rode with him to depot expecting Johnny. Back to house, finding Johnny there. After dinner sent telegram to Mr. Selleck. Out after crabs with Johnny. Poor success. Johnny went out again with Mr. Jessup after crabs. Retired at 10.15.
