(Fairfield) Up at 7. Hot, bright day. Made ready for preaching service, after prayers with family. Out at 10.10. Walked to Dr. Rankin’s. Johnny walked with Alice to church. Preached at Cong. Ch. from Deut. 33:25. Attended S.S. at noon. Led in prayer & told Libby prison incident. Back to house. After dinner took nap. Down to church with Johnny at 4pm. Attended and addressed monthly concert. Kate & boys present. Home at 5.40. Met baby & Ally riding. Chatted & read at home. Retired at 10.10. Wrote Fred.
