(Boston) Up at 7.15. Called at office. Shute away. Cloudy morning. Raining from 10.30. Called on Pratt. Had corns cut. Called at Congl office and at Kingsley's (He out of town). Called at E. D. Goodrich's. Had long and delightful talk with him. Dined at Young's. Off at 4.30 for home. Wrote up diary. Chatted with St. Gov. Tucker, Chas. Beach and young man from Mackintire's home. Read Scott's life. Home at 9.40. Read letters. Retired at 12. Rainy evening.
