(Hartford) Up at 8. Johnny off at 6.30 for Norwich to bring his brother Georgie to Lebanon. Downtown with Gen. Otis & Dr. Hart to arrange for regimental reunion. Called at Syke's, Briggs', U.S. Hotel, Stedman Hall, & Music Hall. Thence to Charter Oak Ins. building. Went to its roof. Home to dinner. Sent four S.S. letters and two others. Called at Father's. Downtown in afternoon. Took quinine. Read and copied part of Geo. Gray's letter. T. W. Russell called. Called at James'. Mr. Bliss called to make acquaintance before going to Feeding Mills. Walked with Russell. Retired at 10.
