(Boston, Mass.) Up at 7.50. Had trouble with waiter at breakfast about brown bread toast. Out to Shute’s. Called at Kingsley’s, Pratt’s, Noyes’, Spauldings’s, at hatter’s, etc. Bought trunks & valises for John & George. They picked out books again. With them to depot at 2.50. They off at 3pm. Dined at Parker’s with Shute. Off at 5.40 by Prov’ce road for Hyde Park. Had trouble finding Miss Ayer’s. Took supper at hotel. Found Evans at Baptist vestry. At Miss Ayer’s and retired at 10.15.
