(Fairfield) Up at 5.30 after restless night. Off at 7 for home. Made notes for Independent editorial on cars. Home at 9.30. Downtown with Johnny. Sent letter to Alice. Called on Hawley. Talked over Butler matters. Wrote editorial on Butler for Independent. Downtown with Johnny. Met Mr. Nott. Ordered coal for father. Bought crabs and birds. Slosson came at 7.30. Late supper. Retired at 10.30.
