(Hartford) Up at 7.40. Bright day. Arranged flowers newly in the front yard. Finished article on Childrens Church. Read it to Johnny. Called at Mother's and read it to her. Gurdon busily engaged on his trout painting. Sent eight S.S. letters. Downtown with Johnny before tea. Called at Geer & Pond's, post-office, Brown & Gross', & etc. Showery afternoon. Out to Camps in evening. Wrote up diary. Aided Johnny in arranging his desk. Retired at 10.15. Wrote Alice.
