(Greenwich, Ct.) Up at 7.30. Bright, cold day. Called at Lt. Wright's. He absent. Off at 10 for New York with Slosson & Annie. Wrote on revision of article for Ind't. on Scribner. At New York at noon. Called at Bible House. Tyler away. Talked with Wisewell. Called on A. Taylor. Dined with him. Down to office of Ind't. Left article on Scribner there. Talked about Butler. Down to Thetford's. He away. Back to Bible House. Off to Fairfield by 4.30 train. At Mrs. Jessup's with family at 6.30. Pleasant evening there. Retired at 9.45. Restless and nervous, unable to sleep soundly first half of night.
