(Philadelphia) Up at 7.20. Showery day. Read and wrote until 10.25. Out to Dr. Boardman's church. Heard Rev. Mr. Kellogg of New York preach on the Transfiguration. Wrote again to Alice and Fred. After dinner out with Mr. Kingsbury to Plymouth Congl. and United Presb'n S. Schools. Spoke in latter. Returned to house. After tea called at Girard House to see Dr. Napheys. He out of town. Mailed letter to Alice. Back to house. Chatted with family until 10.40. Wrote Fred. Retired at 11.30.
