(Hartford) Up at 6.45. Off at 8.10 for New Haven. Called at North's office and Jarman's. Telegraphed W. P. Paxson. Wrote W. A. Ives. Off for home at 10.55. Home at noon. Wrote letters in afternoon. Down to depot to meet W. P. Paxson after tea. Train delayed until 7.45. Went with Paxson to Allyn House. Thence to Courant office. Had pleasant talk with Gov. Hawley & Julius Strong & Paxson. Home at 9.50 with ice-cream for Mother. Retired at 10.40. Sent seven S.S. letters and three others.
