(St. Louis, Mo.) Up at 6.30. Warm day. Off with Will Paxson after breakfast. Visited Walnut St. Presb. S.S. (Rev. Dr. Brookes') Noted carefully its exercises. Ensign met us there. All three attended Dr. Niccolls' church. Heard him preach on Baptism. Dined at hotel. Off to Biddle Market with Paxsons. Kingsbury went with Ensign to Reform School. Met Morrison at his Mission S.S. Noted its exercises. Rode thence to Benton St's new mission chapel. Attended its dedication services. Called at Brawner's. Back to hotel. Brawner called. Saw Gen. Beauregard. Changed room. Wrote Alice & Fred. Read. Retired at 11.
