(Hartford) Up at 7.30. Hot day. Mother Gallaudet and Thomas came at 9.45. Twichell called on his way to New Haven at 7.45. Wrote letters. Again looked over papers and pamphlets. Downtown after dinner. Called at H. C. Robinson's. Saw Mr. Blackstone. After tea worked in garden transplanting flowers. Called at Father's. Out in evening with Alice. Called on Judge Carpenter and at Maj. Butler's. Downtown. Bought liver of Briggs. House full. Slept with Johnny. Retired at 12.30. Sent thirteen S.S. letters.
