(Boston) Up at 8.20. Out at 10 to Shute's. Alice went shopping. Met young Woodruff and called with him on E. D. Goodrich. Met Dr. Eggleston. He dined with us at Parker's. Called again on Mr. Goodrich. With him & Woodruff called at Rev. J. B. Dunn's to see about foreign S.S. plans. At Shute's officec again at 6.30. Finished article for Nat'l Teacher and sent it with letter to Lyon. Shute supped with me. Eggleston & Shute passed evening in our room in pleasant converce. Retired at 12. Sent S.S. letter.
