(Hartford) Up at 8.20. Made out monthly statement. Downtown for Father's box at bank. Wrote letters. At 3.40, after call at house, went down to depot with Sophy & Annie & Johnny to see Grand Duke Alexis on his way to Boston. Down to Aetna office with Father's certificates. Paid Beach & Bull's bill. At home wrote again on letters. After tea called at house. Johnny downtown twice after 8.45. Sent fourteen letters and telegrams. Retired at 12.
