(Hartford) Up at 6.30. Johnny called on Mr. Bodge early. Called at Father's & talked over Aetna stock movements. Worked again on Advance article. Downtown to bank. Morris not there. Called at Bromley's & had talk about Hawley. Hawley came in. Went with him to depot. Met Saml. Bowles & daughter. Home & took hurried dinner. Wrote Fred. Off for Springfield at 2pm. At Holland's finished, read and sent Advance article on "The Chief Attraction in a S.S." Walked up towards Mr. Eustis'. Met him & rode with him to his house. Passed evening there in preparation for next day. Retired at 10.
