(Boston) Up at 8.15. Head swimming - seemingly from coal gas coming in at window. After breakfast out to Shute's. Rainy day. Called at Congregationalist office, Spauldings, Torrey's, Noyes', Chapman's, etc. Again at Shute's. Dined with Chapman & Shute at Parker's. Called at Young's Hotel. Off at 3pm. Met Mr. Hunt, of Hunt, Holbrook, & Barber on cars. Wrote an article for Advance. Home at 7.30. Read letters. Wrote again on article. Read it to Alice and Johnny. Retired at 10.30.
