(Hartford) Up at 6.35. Bright day again. Off at 8.10 with Johnny. We stopped at New Haven. Wrote on article for Independent. Met Mr. Woodworth of New London. Called at Mary Prime's in New York at 1pm. Thence to Tyler's. Lunched with him. Delivered letter for James at Bang's. Called at Vincent's, and at Independent office. Off for Phila. at 5pm. Wrote up diary. Wrote letter to Charley Camp. Met E. W. Rice at Phila. depot. Had free talk with him. Stopped at Colonnade Hotel. Retired at 11. Troubled by mosquitos.
