(Boston) Up at 8.15. Bright day. Out to Shute's, after breakfast. Letter from Johnny. Went to see Col. Hoyt & Mr. Brown as to Schwabe's gallery. Saw Henry Camp's picture. Alice went shopping. Called at Hamilton Place Repository. Bought tea. Called at Torrey's. Dined at Parker's with Shute. Off at 3pm with Alice for home. Wrote up diary. Chatted with Alice. Supped at Massasoit. Home at 7.30. All well there, but Jas. & Sarah had hurried to Slosson's bedside. Read letters. Called at Father's. Sophy to pass the night there. Johnny took bath. Retired at 11.30.
