(Hartford) Snow and sleet storm. Corrected proof, received check for $250 from Dr. J. P. Williston. Marsh went to Waterbury. Off for Boston at 12.40. No dinner at Springfield. Corrected proof for World. Wrote up diary. At Shute's at 5.30. Called at Noyes'. At Parker's with Shute at 7.30. Called at Y.M.C.A. rooms to find Scribner's Magazine. Bought toys etc. At room in Parker's at 9.15. Read awhile. Retired at 10.30.
