(Hartford) Up at 8. Kelsey called. Rainy day. Read letters and corrected proof from Phila. Downtown with Johnny. Obtained blank of mortgage deed. Sent him back with it to Storrs. Called at Fessenden's, Aetna office. Talked with Austin Dunham. Back to hill. Downtown once more, with Storrs. Again back to hill, to dinner. After dinner called at Father's. Talked with James and others about Aetna stock. Again corrected proof. Downtown once more. Met Charley Denison. Obtained cash from Storrs on new mortgage of house. Arranged papers with him at H. E. Tainton's office. Back to house. Found John B. Smith & Charley Denison there. Smith gave me draft of review exercise. Wrote Rice, returning proof in evening. Talked with Alice, called at Father's. Reitred at 12. Paid Kelsey.
