(Hartford) Up at 8.40. Downtown with Johnny. Bought S.S. memorandum book. Deposited draft from E. R. Adams for Father, paying $75 of it to Gen. Hillyer. Commenced article for Nat'l Teacher on Romish church practices. Off for New York at 3.30, wrote on cars. Finished article for Teacher. Very cold afternoon. At New York at 8. Called at Prime's. Down to Grand Central Hotel. Met Kingsbury. Supped with him. Talked over S.S. Union matters in New York until 12.45. Excited talk. Prayer with him. Retired at 1am.
