Johnny moved his personal baggage from Mrs. Bartlett's. Mr. Arms came in afternoon for a call. Called with him on Gurdon. Gurdon aided me in planning post-heads. Downtown with Johnny to Arch St. foundry. Ordered castings. Stopped at state-house to witness contest over vote for Governor. Home at 6.40. Called at Father's in evening. Wrote at home. Retired at 10.45. Sent nine S.S. letters and one other.
