(Hartford) Up at 7.50. Down with Sophy to Centre Church. Heard Rev. Mr. Gould preach on "What shall it profit a man etc." Met Ned & Susie. In afternoon Alice & children went out to Asylum Hill S.S. Concert & heard Mr. Twichell preach to children. May confessed about the sugar shoe. Sad time with her. Ned and Susie came to tea. Had talk with Ned in the evening about our relations. Retired at 11.
