(Hartford) Up at 8. Wrote letters all forenoon. Downtown after dinner. Saw Kitty Camp about Charley. Mr. Camp called. Sent off twelve S.S. letters and two others. Letter from Fred in the evening. Commenced essay on The Church and the Sunday School. Read its opening to Alice. Retired at 11.30.
