(Germantown, Pa.) Up at 7.45. After breakfast, off with Kingsbury and Johnny at 9 o'clock for Intersection. There wrote on diary. Off at 10am for New York. Met Hon. E. S. Tobey, on cars. In New York at 1. Dined hurriedly at Parker's in Dey St. Up to Bible House. Thence to Tyler's house. Off for home at 3pm with Johnny, leaving Kingsbury with Tyler. Met Miss Hinedale on cars, also Maj. Mallory. Home at 7.15. Marsh there. Rev. C. M. Wines called. Retired at 11.15. Telegraphed Tyler from Germantown junction.
