(Hartford) Up at 8.30. Re-wrote sketch of Bethany Mission. Wrote letters. Mr. Marsh off at 2pm for Springfield. Downtown with Johnny. Called at Abbe's, Russell's. post-office, Courant office, J. D. Burnham's. Toohy's & Col. Cheney's. Wrote again at home before tea. In evening letter came from Fred. Took bath. Retired at 11. Sent three S.S. letters and one other.
