(Salem, Mass.) Up at 7.45. Bright day. After breakfast, called at Bank. Rec'd money of Union meeting collection. Off at Boston with Mrs. Lefavour's at 10am. In Boston called at Shute's. Saw Mr. Pollard & had talk about S.S. Union work. Called at Noyes. Dined with Shute. Off for home at 3pm. Met C. A. Richardson on cars. Had talk with Holland at Springfield House at 7.30. Read and wrote letters. Out to Camps with Alice. Took bath. Retired at 12.15. Sent two S.S. letters and three personal letters and telegram.
