(Hartford) Up at 8. Bleak cold day. Wrote letters. Downtown at noon. Marsh & wife came at noon. Talked with him. Made out monthly report. Marsh & wife returned at 4.50pm. Young Learned called in early evening. Off at 7.15 with Alice for Springfield. Stopped at Massasoit. Walked out shopping with Alice. Took oysters at Barr's. Retired at 10.30. Sent seven S.S. letters and three others.
