(Essex, Ct.) Up at 7.30. Cold day. Snow had fallen in the night. Severe sick head-ache. Made ready for the day. At 10am rode to village. Preached on The Church School in Congl. Ch. in forenoon. Addressed S.S. at noon. Went to Dr. Hubbard's, after S.S., with Rev. Mr. Teller. Lunched. Rested on lounge. Out at 3 to Cong. Ch. Children's service. Preached on The Bible as a Light. Dined with mr. Teller's. Out to Congl Ch. prayer-meeting. Spoke on individual responsibility. Called at Mr. Pratt's. HOme with Mr. Tiley. Wrote Fred. Talked with Mr. & Mrs. Tiley. Retired at 11.30.
