(Brooklyn, N.Y.) Up at 6.40. Rainy morning. Left Alice after breakfast. Rode to ferry with Wallace. Thence to navy yard. Called on Gerald Gresham on "Vermont". Had long talk with him. Back to ferry. Saw young Albert Miller. Gave him $50. Off for New York. Lunched at Dorlon's. Called at Wallace's, Mr. Crane's, Mr. Duncklee's, and Home Ins. Co. Had hair cut. Called at Tyler's. Met Alice at 27th St. Off for home by 3pm train. Heavy train. Behind time. Home at 8.15. Letter from Fred. Read letters. Called at Father's, Annie & Slosson there. Alice received letter from Ned. Retired at 12.30. Wrote & sent one S.S. letter and one other.
