(Hartford) Pleasant day. Up at 8.15. Downtown. Ordered city express team. Wrote two S.S. letters. At noon off with Alice & all the children for New Haven. They kept on to Greenwich. Stopped in New Haven three hours. Called at North's, Jarman's, Miss May Bacon's. Mailed letter to Fred. Off for New York at 5.pm. Wrote on sermon letter. Reached N.Y. at 8.15. Tyler met me. Went to Ashland House. Talked with Tyler an hour. Wrote awhile. Retired at 11.30. Tel'd Tyler from New Haven.
