(Westfield, Mass.) Up at 7.45. Cold, raw day. After reading in study, and looking over sermon, went to forenoon service at 2d. Congl. Ch. and preached for Hopkins from text Mk 1:37. Stopped at S.S. at noon. Opened it with a prayer. After lunch, attended Communion service. Aided Hopkins in it. Read awhile after it. At 6pm had children's service. At 7 attended monthly concert and spoke at it. Sat with Harry Hopkins until midnight.
