(Norwich, Ct.) Up at 6.30. Off for home at 8.25. Reached Hartford at 11.20. Met Alice on her way home. Rev. Mr. Hovey & Rev. E. P. Smith on cars from Willimantic. Read letters. Finished & sent one to Fred. Off with Alice by noon express train for New York. Lunched at 27th St. depot. at 5.15. Downtown to Jersey City ferry. Train delayed from trouble at the Hackensack draw. Off at 6.50 for Newark. Called there at Rev. Dr. Fish's. Thence to Park Presb'n Church to attend S.S. Teacher's Association. Read my essay on the Church & the S.S. Home with Mr. & Mrs. Dorrance. Stopping at Dr. Fish's. Retired at 11.30.
