(Phila.) Up at 7.50. After breakfast called at Sharpless' & bought dress for Alice. Called at Union rooms. Talked with Wurts & Dr. Allibone. Out with Wurts to see Kingsbury. He not in town. Called at Presb'n Bd of Rubn - and at Bd of Education. Obtained valuable pamphlets on Church care of children. Called at Geo. H. Stuart's and on Henry Fish. The latter dined with me. Drs. Napheys & Brinton called. Again at Union rooms. Off at 6.45 for New York. Wrote Mr. Camp & Fred on cars. Reached Astor House at 10.45. Mailed letters. After supper retired at midnight.
