(New York) Up at 7.45. Breakfasted at Prime's. Down to Bible House. Met Rice & Tyler. Talked over plan of Rice's removal to East. Telegraphed Shute. Downtown with Rice. Called at Wallace's. Had hair cut. Lunched at Delmonico's. Up town. Called at Carleton's. Back to Prime's. Up to 27th St. depot to meet Gurdon, bringing his fish pictures for exhibition. Called at Tyler's to see McCullagh. Gave McC. a folding umbrella. Dined at Prime's, with Gurdon. Off for home at 8pm. Met B. J. Bourn on cars. Home at 12.50. Retired at 1.50. Sent three S.S. letters and tel. and one other.
