(Germantown, Pa.) Up at 6.30. Cloudy but warm day. Down to city with Kingsbury and Johnny at 8am. There visited Dr. Newton's S.S. Spole in infant classroom. Preached Hypocrisy sermon for Peltz in forenoon. Home to dinner with Peltz. Over to Bethany Mission S.S. at 2.30pm. Met C.C. Coffin there and Dr. March. Made notes of exercises of school. Home with Wannamaker to tea. Rainy evening. Out to Bethany Mission at 7.30 to children's meeting. Peter B. Simmonds, Edw'd Kimball, and C.C. Coffin spoke. Preached Bible Light sermon. Down to Continental with Kimball. Thence to Green St. depot, and to Germantown by 10.45. Sat until 12.15 with family. Retired at 1.20.
