(Springfield, Mass.) Up at 6. Raining hard. Off at 7.15 for Boston. Wrote up record of addresses and diary on cars (Wrote Walter Camp, and commenced letter to Allen on road to Fall River.) Reached Boston at 11.15. Called at Shute's. Off at 12 for Fall River. Reached there about 2.15. Found McCullagh at Mt. Hope House. Lunched at restaurant. Commenced letter to Fred. Record came about 5.40. After tea, called with him on Dr. Thurston, Rev. Mr. Adams, Rev. Mr. Haughwort, & R. K. Remington. Met Rev. Dr. Duncan. Back to hotel at 9.40. Retired at 10.30.
