Friday, January 6, 1871

(Hartford) Up at 8. Johnny off at 6 for Worcester. Wrote letters all forenoon. Kitty Camp called at noon and dined. Rainy day. Wrote article for S.S. Times, on Duty of being Loved. Down to post-office at 3pm. Thence to Presbn. Church to attended prayer-meeting. Met gentlemen to discuss convention for reform of the U.S. Constitution. Home at 5.30. Dickerson awaiting me. He took tea and talked over Worcester matters. Down to depot with him. He off to Spring'd. Met Dr. Bushnell. Johnny Wattle returned at 7.15. Down to post-office. Called at Father's twice - once with Alice. Hung pictures in library during forenoon. Sent eleven S.S. letters. Wrote up diary. Retired at 12.
