(Hartford) Up at 8.20. Bright cool day. Mr. Marsh left for Springfield at 9.45. Wrote letters all forenoon. Father called. Downtown with Johnny at 2pm. Deposited money. Called at post-office and on Hawley at Courant office. Met Harry Hopkins. Wrote again on letters. Helped Sophy on her geography. Wrote up diary. Charley Camp called. Down to post-office with Johnny. Called at Father's on my return. Retired at 11. Sent twenty S.S. letters and three others.
