(Hartford) Up at 7.30. Downtown with Johnny. Called at office of Post, painter's, and H. L. Porter's. Off at noon for Boston with Gen. Hawley. Dined at Massasoit. Met Cap't Phillips and Maj. Coit on cars. At Boston went to Young's Hotel with Hawley. Room 57. Out to Fremont House to attend reunion of Burnside Expedition veterans. Gen. Otis, Dr. Newton and others there. At 8pm attend M.O.L.L.N.S. metting at Parker's at collation given to members from abroad. Delightful evening. Returned to Young's. Devotions with Hawley. Retired at 12.45. Sent nineteen S.S. letters and two others.
