(New York) Up at 7.15. Lunched at 27th St. Off at 8, for home. Met Searle and Rev. J. L. Dudley. At New Haven met Judge Waldo. Shared seat with him. Home at 12.25. Met Johnny Wattles at depot. Had talk with him in little parlor. Made new covenant with him. Mr. Legare at house. After dinner downtown with Johnny. Read papers and letters. In evening Johnny & Sophy went to rink to witness champion skating. Retired at 9.30.
