(Boston) Up at 7.20. Called at Spaulding's after breakfast. Had long talk with him over Fred's connection with him in business. Then called on Kinsley & Pratt. Shute out of town. Dined at Parker's. Met E. S. Toby & Sons. Off at 3 for Springfield. Met Hon. G. G. Knight on cars. At Springfield met Dickerson and had talk as to his work at Dummerston, Vt.. Advised him to have our work. Supped at Massasoit. Home by steamboat train. Alice depressed. Retired at 10. Sent three S.S. letters.
