(Hartford) Up at 5.25. Bright day. Off at 6.30 with Johnny on Prov'ce train. Met E. P. Hammond & W. W. Patton. Wrote Rev. Dr. D. M. Merriman. Johnny went to Norwich. At Prov'ce at 11. Met 0000. Stopped at City Hotel. Attended State Conf'ce of Cong. Churches of R.I., at Richmond St. chuch. At noon dined at Rev. E. O. Bartlett's. In afternoon spoke on The Model S.S. at Conference. In Music Hall addressed large gathering of children with E. P. Hammond. Took tea with Bartlett. Off for Boston at 7.35. Met E. E. Hale and others on cars. Met Shute at Parker's. Retired at 12.
