(Hartford) Up at 8. Bright day. Took bath at Father's. Wrote one S.S. letter and two others. Off with Johnny at noon for Bridgeport to attend State S.S. Convention. Found Kate Budd in store there. Called at No. Cong. Ch. chapel on Committee of arrangements. Met Alfred Taylor, G. A. Peltz, and others at depot. Stopped at Edw. Sterling's, with Johnny. Out to North Cong'l Ch. in evening. Heard Peltz. Read essay on S.S. Teaching. Back to Mr. Sterling's. Long talk about essay. Retired at 10.45.
