(Hartford) Up at 8. Cloudy but warm day. Downtown with Johnny. Called at Talcott & Post's. Paid bills at Peckham's & Caswell's. Called at McClunie's (Father called at looked over grounds, and talked of similar work on his place). Looked in at Mr. Robinson's and Mr. Parker's. At noon came members of State Central Committee of S.S. Asso'n. They passed the afternoon at house, planning for the year's work. Downtown to arrange for tea for them. Parker came to measure for wire door screens. Sent seven S.S. letters and two others. Searle stopped to tea with us. Johnny went downtown. Retired at 10.45.
