(Hartford) Up at 7. Bright day. Planned arranging of Johnny's room. Downtown with Johnny. Paid Maj. Boardman for horse on election day. After early dinner called at Father's. Off for New York at 1pm. Met Mrs. Shauffler on cars. Wrote up diary. Wrote T. H. Camp & Rev. H. S. Huntington. Called at Ashland House. Thence to Tyler's. Took tea there with Rev. Dr. Robinson. Met Committee of Foreign S.S. Work in evening. Talked over its plans. Back to Ashland House. Retired at 11.30.
