(Boston) Up at 7. Shute, Kingsbury, & Ensign called at Parker's. Out to Shute's. Called at Pratt's, Kingsley's, Sargent's, etc. Met Spaulding. Called at his office. Dined with him & Shute. With Shute & Johnny to Moses Pond's, Blackstone St. to see about new top to range. Again at Shute's. In evening attended Social Re-Union of Congl. Club at Horticulture Hall. Met many friends there. In afternoon attended anniversary exercises of Congl Pub. Soc. Met Dr. Patton of Chicago, Misses Chase, Foster, Dunning & others. At Parker's for the night. Retired at 11. Wrote Rev. W. C. Wetherly.
