Sunday, February 26, 1871

(Germantown) Up at 7.10. Dull, cloudy morning. After breakfast, took train at 8.30 for Phila. with Mr. Kingsbury. Called at S.S.
of St. Paul's Church. Met Mr. Rice there. Heard Rev. Dr. Wadsworth preach in forenoon in his church, on God's stirring up the nests of his children. Dine at Girard House with Dr. Napheys. Out to Dr. Newton's (Ch. of the Epiphany) S.S. in afternoon. Heard Rice speak there. Out to Germantown with Mr. Kingsbury. Raining hard. After tea, walked up to Germantown St. Preached to children in Mr. Corvan's church. Met Baker (of S.S. Times), Mrs. Saddler, Mrs. Fields, & Clara Benedict. Home at 9 with Kingsbury. Retired at 11.
